It’s no secret that we give just as much attention to our wine selection as we do our food. To us, an excellent dining experience combines the best of both worlds!
You may have seen our Facebook post about new updates to our wine list. There was such a wonderful community response that we wanted to share a few more highlights with you. Matt Iafeliece, our Front Of The House Manager and Wine Director has picked a handful of wine recommendations to share this month. We hope you enjoy these suggestions! If you want to explore more of our wine list during your visit, we will be thrilled to talk wine with you!
Stella Maris Red Blend from Columbia Valley and Cain Cuvee from Napa Valley
These wines are very accessible during Wine Night on Wednesdays where we take $21.00 off every bottle on the list with the purchase of two entrees.
The Stella Reserve Red Blend has layers of smoke, vanilla, spice, raspberry, and cherry flavors on a soft and silky palate that makes this a very approachable, versatile wine that can be enjoyed with everything from pizza to prime rib.
The Cain Cuvée may not have as much depth as the Cain Concept, or be as refined as their Cain Five, it is livelier, and thus it is more refreshing. In many cases, this is exactly the kind of wine many want to drink with their meal; a wine that sits lightly and wakes up your taste buds for the next bite. NV10 Cain Cuvée fills this role perfectly. The freshness of the 2010 vintage combines with the body of the 2009 to create a complete package with just enough weight to be satisfying without being heavy, and plenty of mouthwatering energy to carry through your meal.
Willamette Valley Jovino and Villa Wolf from Dr. Ernst Loosen from Pfalz, Germany
We are featuring two Pinot Gris’s by the glass for al fresco dining on the patio. Two completely different styles showcasing a great “Summer Varietal.”
The Willamette Valley Jovino is refreshing and extremely food friendly with aromas of apples, pears and a hint of fresh cut grass. It starts with a mouthful of round soft fruit but cleanses the palate with crisp acidity. It possesses the anticipated granny smith apple flavors, but slightly riper due to the premium fruit source.
Villa Wolf from Dr. Ernst Loosen is a delicious, full-bodied Pinot Gris from the warm, dry Pfalz region of Germany, where the grape variety was first identified. Villa Wolf Pinot Gris is made in a dry style that will appeal to wine lovers around the world. Half of each vintage is fermented in used French oak barriques for depth and richness. The other half is made in stainless steel tanks to preserve fruit and freshness.
